Babajide Otitoju has questioned the decision of the APC Presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, to field a Muslim-Muslim ticket ahead of the 2023 presidential election. Speaking on TVC news, Babajide addressed the concerns of the Christian population and how they relate to Bola Tinubu’s choices.Addressing the topic, Babajide said, “I could describe Bola Tinubu’s decision to pick a Muslim running mate as insensitive due to the Christian population.” Why not pick a Christian? However, I can not put myself in his shoes. This is why I can not play politics or work for a politician.
He continued, “For the politician, it is a world of difficult choices for the politician.” This is the reality that people do not understand.
Shettima is the former governor of Borno State and the predecessor to Governor Zulum. Shettima’s emergence as the vice presidential candidate of the APC has stirred mixed reactions from Nigerians who have expressed concerns about the religion of the party’s presidential candidate and his running mate.
