JUST IN: MANCHESTER UNITED CONTINUED THEIR PERFECT PRE SEASON TOUR WITH A 3-1 VICTORY AGAINST CRYSTAL PALACE

Manchester United 3-1 Crystal Palace: Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho ALL score as Erik ten Hag’s men step up a gear… despite a David de Gea error and red card for Will Fish.

Manchester United continued their excellent start to life under Erik ten Hag with 3-1 win over Crystal Palace in which their attack purred.

Having put four goals past both Liverpool and Melbourne Victory, United were in scoring mood once more at the MCG, with Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho all getting in on the act.

Patrick Vieira’s Crystal Palace side was low on star quality given the amount of first-team players that have not gone on tour, and Erik ten Hag selected a strong side.

Martial converted from Diogo Dalot’s cross in the first half, before Donny van de Beek’s cutback was converted by Rashford. Sancho rounded off United’s scoring with a cool finish after Martial’s flicked pass.

Palace, stripped of several first-team regulars, carried little threat going forward as United dominated but Joel Ward headed home a consolation.

United conceded late on through a header David de Gea should have done better with, before substitute Will Fish was sent off for a professional foul.

They played some more exciting football here with Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho on target, which will please the new manager.

That put United firmly in command and though Palace responded through Joel Ward, then young defender Will Fish was sent off, it was a deserved win.

Manchester United next travel to Perth to face Aston Villa on July 23; kick-off 10.45am.

Stay tuned for more update.
