PELE: DEAD AT 82 AFTER BATTLE WITH CANCER

 

Pelé, the Brazilian long considered the greatest footballer of all time, has died aged 82.

The legendary figure, a man who has surpassed his sport and is a global icon, learned his colon cancer had progressed on December 21 and was informed that he will be kept in the hospital for Christmas – along with the striker icon in need of treatment for heart and kidney dysfunction.
