SECURITY OPERATIVES NAB SUSPECTED AUTO MOBILE THIEVES TERRORIZING IBA-IGANDO-AREAS OF LAGOS STATE
Four Suspected members of a notorious criminal gang that specializes in stealing occupied Auto Mobiles , last week met their Waterloo in Lagos.
The male suspects identified as a 26 year – old Victor Chibuike ,aka Azaman, Kingsley Ndubuisi aged 33 ,also known as kango, Augustine James aged 29 ,aka Edo boy and Lateef Babatunde aged 33, were said to have been arrested within the Igando axis of Lagos State.
Police said that their arrest followed the launching of a swift investigation after a report was received on August 7, 2022 that a 2010 Lexus RX 350 SUV, 2006 Toyota Camry saloon car, an IPhone and other valuables were robbed at gun point.
Detectives recovered 3 locally made pistols, 1 locally made semi-automatic pistol and 12 live cartridges from the gang.
According to the Image Manager of the Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, further Investigations revealed that the suspects were notorious for robbing their victims of valuables and vehicles along the Iba-Igando-Egbeda axis of Lagos State.
SP Hundeyin said that police have intensified efforts to arrest the criminal receiver of their stolen goods, and possibly recover other items stolen by the gang in the past. Suspects will be arraigned at the end of investigation.
