Barry Lewtas, the head coach of Liverpool’s under-21 team, lauded Arthur Melo as a “top-level professional” following his surprising debut.
Arthur joined the Reds on a season-long loan from Juventus on the day of the transfer deadline.
Being left out of the Old Lady’s preparations caused him to arrive out of shape.
In order to maintain his fitness levels, Arthur participated for Liverpool’s under-21 team in their 1-0 victory over Leicester City on Saturday night.

Lewtas believes that having the trio play for the young Reds was advantageous for both parties, according to liverpoolfc.com.
