WHAT HAPPENED TO LABOR PARTY CHIEFTAIN?

Labor Party leader beaten by thugs for posting posters in Osun

Labor Party (LP) Leader Rabiu Ismaila was stabbed by thugs who attacked him and others for posting posters of a House candidate in the Atakunmosa East to Osun Stat local government area.

The Nation reports that some party members in the Owode, Igangan and Olopon communities in Ijeshaland have repeatedly shouted out protests against the relentless attacks. They claimed that they were attacked more than three times in just three weeks.

Responding to the attacks, State Labor Party Chairman Comrade Bello Adebayo called on Police Commissioner Sunday Faleye to arrest and prosecute any thugs who attacked party members.

Speaking to the publication, one of the victims, Ismaila, said

“I am still receiving treatment at Wesley Guild Hospital, Ilesa after being attacked by political thugs PDP. The thugs from Iwara. I was attacked on November 30th by these six thugs. I was attacked because I posted posters of the Labor Party candidate for the House of Commons, Kunle Gideon, aka Aloba. That was my only offense. We live in fear in this area

Another victim revealed that the same thugs who attacked Ismaila attacked other members of the group on Thursday night, around 11pm in the village of Olopon Ajegunle

He said

“They came to my house; break in and start destroying my property. Thank God we were able to escape. One of those who came to attack us was Tayo, famously known as Ijoba. The police in our area are not capable of handling these guys.”
